Hermes Summer 2016 Windows (Singapore)

Summer Forever takes another local material, the ubiquitous everyday component into the world of Hermes. The sarong and its batik motifs are renown throughout Singapore (alongside the Malay archipelago in Southeast Asian region) for their hundred and one uses.

As the lead designer for AK+, an age-old craft is adapted to visualise the force of nature on the island of Singapore. Batik motifs are central to the scenography of this story where we are often told that in the tropics, there are no seasons and it is indeed always forever about summer.
